I have made things from textiles for much of my life. I sewed and crocheted clothes when I was in high school in the 1960’s, I made fabric dolls in the 1970’s, I made pieced clothing in the 1980’s, I made children’s costumes, pieced clothing, and household linens in the 1990’s. I have made books and hangings out of commercial felt since the early 2000’s. And in the last six years, I have made over 100 original textile works.
During the last thirty years I have also been a printmaker. Now I am printing on fabric and including prints in my textile pieces. I have also extended my textile interests into felting, punch needle, and weaving.
