These two textile pieces, printed and stitched with buttons were made as wedding gifts.
2020 – 2025
Aside from the three Memorial Scrolls, which were commissioned, and the 2020-21 coat pieces, most of my small works are not in a series. There are two diptychs and a small set of “stage” pieces. Many of these works (17) have new owners.
2024
Story Quilts
These five quilts were pieced first into groups of images that, to me, looked like stories. I then asked people I know who write to respond to the images so that the images would seem like illustrations to their words. I got three poems, one melody, two essays, five stories and one dialogue. Four pieces received one response and one piece received eight.
2019
In Memoriam, is a large printed and stitched fabric book made to remember important people in my life who have died It was shown at the Alberta Craft Council as part of their portrait exhibition in 2019.
